Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest. We are a family based operation established in 2001. Although there are just two of us running the operation right now, it is through the contributions of our family and friends that we have achieved our success to date (in particular the hard work and dedication of Brenda and Ron Taschuk for 13 years). We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of service to our customers, while maintaining a relaxed and casual atmosphere.
We have a true passion for fishing and nature in beautiful northern Saskatchewan. With each passing year we welcome returning and new sportsmen who share those same sentiments. We enjoy spending time with our customers, particularly those returning year after year . . . it feels like family coming to visit. We truly are an affordable fly-in fishing experience and we hope you will give us an opportunity to show you our hospitality. Together as your hosts, we (Brian and Candy) will do our best to ensure your trip is comfortable, memorable and that you go back home with some great fishing stories.

McTavish Lake and Reel North Outfitters would not be a part of our lives without my dad, Charlie, who worked here for years with the previous owner and then gave us so much of his time and energy to help us build it into what it is today. Dad taught us all to fish and to love and respect the outdoors and nature. He loved to sit on the deck in the early morning, sip coffee and watch "TLC" (The Lake Channel) He loved to fish and was always ready to share his story of the "big one" that hangs on the wall in the lodge. We lost "Charlie" to cancer in the fall of 2014, but he will always be part of McTavish for us. It was his favorite place on earth and we hope he is Forever Fishing.
